Our research focuses on three main areas:

  • Enterprise Modeling
  • Knowledge Modeling
  • Information Logistics

The area of enterprise and knowledge modeling aims at capturing organizational knowledge about processes, products, organization structures and resources in well-defined models contributing to solving enterprise problems. From a technological and methodical perspective, the area integrates work from computer science, like knowledge management and knowledge representation, and approaches from industrial organization, in particular enterprise engineering.

Recent work includes methods for information demand analysis, development of information demand patterns, knowledge management for SME, application of ontologies and enterprise models for information logistics solutions, enterprise modeling practices, and integration of competence models and information demand.

During the last years, a large number of research projects have been conducted.See “projects” for more information.
